Welcome to Wessex Road Surgery Online

Although patients are registered with the Practice, all patients have now been allocated a named GP (this is their registered GP) who is responsible for their overall care. Should you wish to know who this is please ask the receptionist. If you have a preference we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request. We always try to accommodate patients wishes to see their preferred GP but this may not always be possible. Patients can still  choose to see whichever GP they wish and this does not necessarily have to be their named GP.

Please enquire with reception for more information.

The shingles vaccine is given as a single injection for people aged 70, 71, 72, 78 and 79. For more information or to book an appointment please contact reception.

We now offer a new service called "patient online access". This allows you to book/ cancel appointments online, order repeat prescriptions, update your personal details and message your practice about general enquiries. Just ask at reception for a registration form, and return in person within the next week to collect your user ID and passcode. Please note you will be asked to show ID.

Would you recommend our GP surgery?

 The Friends and Family Test

If you visit our GP surgery you will be asked about whether or not you would recommend our surgery to your family and friends, if they need similar treatment or care. The NHS Friends and Family Test is a quick and simple way of collecting patient feedback to improve services. When you visit our GP surgery for care or treatment, you will be given the opportunity to give your feedback by answering a simple question about your experience:

“How likely are you to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they need similar care or treatment?”

You will be asked to choose one of six options, ranging from 'extremely likely' to 'extremely unlikely'.

You will also be invited to tell us:  If we could change one thing about your care or treatment to improve your experience, what would it be?

If you are unable to answer the question, a friend or family member is welcome to respond on your behalf. You are also able to give your feedback via our website by selecting the patient survey box below.
